STUD MUFFIN...TWO F'S

OK. SO I HAVE TO SHARE THIS STORY. TODAY AT WORK, I TOOK A CALL. EVERYTHING WAS GOING LIKE NORMAL UNTIL THE PART WHERE I ASKED WHO I WAS SPEAKING TO. THE MAN'S REPLY? "STUD MUFFIN." TO WHICH I RESPONDED WITH, "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" AND WE BOTH LAUGHED. THEN I ASKED HIM HOW TO SPELL IT AND HE STARTED, "S-T-U-D..." THEN KILLED HIMSELF LAUGHING. I AGAIN ASKED WHO I WAS SPEAKING WITH AND HE AGAIN SAID, "STUD MUFFIN." I TOLD HIM, "SIR, THIS WILL SHOW ON YOUR INVOICE...DO YOU REALLY WANT ME TO CREATE THE NAME STUD MUFFIN?" HE LAUGHED AND SAID, "SURE, WHY NOT? I'VE BEEN CALLED WORSE." I THEN ASKED IF THAT WAS ONE F OR TWO. HE SAID TWO. WELL, THE NEXT PART IS WE ARE SUPPOSE TO SAY, "OK (INSERT THE NAME OF CUSTOMER HERE), WHAT CAN I GET FOR YOU TODAY?" SO YOU CAN IMAGINE MY HORROR WHEN I MEAKLY SAID, "OK, STUD MUFFIN, WHAT CAN I GET FOR YOU TODAY?" I TRIED HARD TO COMPOSE MYSELF, BUT I COULDN'T HELP IT...I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF! WE BOTH LAUGHED FOR A GOOD MINUTE. THE CALL WENT ON AS NORMAL, BUT I JUST COULDN'T BRING MYSELF TO SAY, "THANK YOU FOR CALLING, STUD MUFFIN!!"

Girls' Nite out with The Boulevard

Yeah for girls' nite out! Or something like that. My fave band, The Boulevard, played at Shakers again Saturday nite. A bunch of coworkers and I went and had fun. It was suppose to be a girls' nite, but we had a few guys show up. It was the greatest nite! I have found that I now LOVE Southern Comfort! I drank that and coke all nite long! Then Gaflin bought me a shot of Goldslaugger. Now, one nite waaaaaaay back when I was younger, I had TEN shots of that stuff in one nite. Yes, it found it's way out of me and into the toilet. From then on I had not touched the stuff until Saturday nite. But don't worry...it stayed down this time! LOL Here are a few random shots from throughout the nite and some of the people that came. In this photo, we have Paolina, Gaflin, Kim and me.

Funny story about Josh...the band was playing "Left Alone" which is one of my favorites. I pointed at Josh and yelled at Kim and Gaflin to watch him. Well, Kim thought I said, "Take lots of pictures of him" and that's exactly what she did! It was too funny. She took a good 12 or something pictures of just Josh. I about died from laughter when I saw all the pics of him and she said that I told her to take them!

So there was this poor sap who was getting initiated or something and had to run around in a banana suit...it was hilarious!

The next day, one of my best friends, Jennie, baptized her little boy. We have adopted Holden as our nephew, so he calls us Aunt Nicki and Uncle Josh. He is just simply the cutest thing!!

Halloween Done the Stuller Way

Ok. So this has got to be the greatest compliment I could ever receive! Two of the consultants from my training class decided to be me and Kim, my assistant, for Halloween! Sheri, aka me, is dressed in Braves gear (including the back, which said Doucet). She has the baseball on her head, because she was killed when she missed and it hit her head! Poalina, who I call Probie, is Kim. Kim is famous for always walking around with a cup of ice. So, Probie died from choking on the ice! They even had Brenda print out the pics from our badges and they put our pictures on their badges! I was floored! I could not stop laughing all day! It felt good that someone would go through all that trouble to imitate me! Kim and I felt so proud!

So, my second official training class is now on the phones. This class sure was a challenge! But everyone has passed and is doing so well on the phones! I'm once again rather proud of myself for teaching these guys!!

My goofy assistant, Kim! She was too funny! She was a perfect scarecrow from the wizard of oz! Kim is one of the people who come in to help me with the training class when Brenda goes on vacation. I love this girl!

This weekend was a great one for me and Josh. Friday nite we went trick or treating at Aunt Nella's house. I had a blast walking around with Cindy and Brian and their adorable two little ones, Caitlin and Connor. We had delicious gumbo and then went around the blocks with the little ones. Saturday Josh and I went to the air show. We parked in a parking lot and watched from the highway. Ok...not the legal way since we didn't have to pay...but it sure was a blast! We were out there for FIVE hours! Didn't even realize it! It sure was great quality time though. That nite we went eat at Olive Garden. It's my favorite place. Not necessarily Josh's, but it was the restaurant of our first date and the place he took me right before he proposed, so he says it has a special meaning to him. The nite was capped off with some CC's coffee and snuggling up to watch Iron Man. I of course, fell asleep on it since I didn't quite get the movie, but he enjoyed it. Today was spent at my mother in law's. We went visit my gorgeous neice, Keira. Then we went get lunch and sat around with the family. Then Jamie (my sister in law), Josh, Keira, and I went shopping for Jeremy's wedding (their brother.) We had such a blast! Keira can now say my full name. She had to go to the bathroom, so when they were coming back, I could hear Keira yelling, "Nicki!" trying to find us. Too freaken cute! Over all, it was a great weekend!!

Crazy, Hectic, Tiresome Week

So this has been the longest week! It honestly felt like it would not end. My training class is nearing the end, which means we are running out of things to teach them. So we do a lot of roll playing. And roll playing means Nicki gets to run around the room like a mongoose! The class is doing pretty good. They've come a long way. They make it to the floor on Thursday and start taking live orders. I'm very anxious to see how that goes.

So, my cousin, Rachel, in Utah has inspired me. She started some kind of dieting program and the last I heard she's actually succeeding at losing weight. Well, I've decided to start taking a spinning class. It's where you are on an exercise bike and just pedal and do crazy things. It was actually really really fun. I kind of can't wait to go back. I went for the first time yesterday. My legs are a little sore. The worse part was the dang gum seat. It wasn't very comfortable, so today my butt is really really sore. I kept telling people at work that my butt bones hurt today. They thought it was super hilarious. Plus my boss laughed at me everytime I had to get up and walk over somewhere. I was not the most graceful thing today. It was pretty pathetic now that I think about it!

Well, tomorrow we are redoing the floors in our house. I'm excited. I'll take pictures and show you guys later!

November 7th we are planning a girls' nite. I'm super excited about it. The Boulevard is playing at Shakers. So, something to look forward to and motivate me to make it through the day!!

I bought this most gorgeous ring today. It's a really simple design band. The best part is that it is in rose gold! So the band is actually red. It's just really really pretty. So this about sums up my week. Just crazy hectic yet some good parts.

Lights, Camera, Action

So The Boulevard had a show at this place called Shakers. It's a pretty neat little bar. I was very impressed with the stage. The lights while the band played were awesome! It made for some really cool pics! This is my favorite one. Josh was entertaining us by playing with his guitar behind his head (he's just so cool like that!) and Tab knelt down and I don't really know what she's doing! It looks like she's trying to get Josh's guitar but he won't let her!!

Here's another pretty cool pic. I was trying to focus on Tab singing off stage. As I hit the button, Josh goes sliding across the stage! It's kind of blurry from the unexpected action, but it's still pretty neat! I call this the accidental capture of Josh sliding across the stage!

Now you can probably see why I'm so fond of Josh. The boy is pure entertainment! Look close enough and you will see him LYING down on the stage and STILL playing!! Tab was giving him a hard time this nite...but it was sooo fun!! I love this band!

My Friend, Tab

So, one of the greatest people to ever walk into my life happens to be the singer in my favorite band, The Boulevard. Tab is one of my best friends, and I absolutely LOVE this girl! She always has a smile on her face. She is the one I run to whenever life gets me down. She's a great listener and always has the best advice. She has the most amazing voice. You have to catch her at one of her shows. She is so entertaining!! This is me and Tab at one of their shows at The Renaissance. I was totally wasted that nite and do not even remember taking half of these pictures! Tab has recently gone through some personal challenges in life. From watching her cope with everything, it has helped me put my life in perspective and realize what's important. I am very grateful to have this girl apart of my life and to call her a friend.



Sean is Tab's husband and the incredible drummer for The Boulevard. It is so fun to watch him play because he gets so into his music. Again, I'm at Renaissance and totally wasted. This was after the show!


Bassist, Matt. This guy is so cool. I've had a few talks with him and he's got a great head on his shoulder. He can be pretty entertaining
sometimes off stage. I love this guy!





My personal favorite, Josh. He is the guitarist. This boy is absolutely amazing. There has yet to be a show where this boy does not make you go, "Whoa!" I have a thing for guitarist to begin with, but Josh is just truly talented. Plus he can sing! He has an incredible voice. But yes, I was mad at him for making faces instead of smiling here! But, hey, that's Josh!

Josh's Just Because

So I get home tonite to find Josh standing in the living room with this rose in his hand. His first words were, "Just because." I thought it was absolutely the sweetest thing! It's been forever since he brought roses home. I absolutely love the vase it came in. The rose itself is just so beautiful! I absolutely love "just becauses."

My Catcher's Bald!

So I stumbled upon this blog that posted this picture of Brian. I thought it was the funniest thing! He actually shaved his head! Story goes he was getting a haircut from his usual barber, teammate Jeff Bennett, when someone bumped Jeff's arm. It left a huge gash in his hair pretty much to the skin. So Brian, being the good sport he is, said he always wanted to shave his head and gave Jeff the ok to go for it. The end result...I say he's still sexy! I just hope it grows back in before the start of the next season!!

Plans For the Weekend

I know it's only Tuesday, and I am in the midst of some time off from work; but I seriously cannot wait until this weekend. Friday nite my fave local band, The Boulevard, is back in action! I'm excited! I'm hoping to get some people together and go have some fun! Thursday we're going to lunch with Tab in Abbeville at this restaurant called Shucks. Tab and Sean rave about their seafood. Saturday is going to be a crazy day because I have two baby showers to go to. They are roughly at the same time, so I'm going to have to make appearances at each. It's pretty cool because they are both for my friends named Amy who are both having girls! Amy Chavez is naming her daughter Addison and Amy Charpentier is naming hers Alexis. It's too crazy all the coincidences. But they are due a month apart so no chance of them being born on the same day!

So I thought it was time to add another picture to the blog since I haven't really been taking many recent pictures. This is one of my favorite pictures of me and Josh. It was taken at a charity event called Bash in the Parc that was put on by The Boulevard. We were being silly and my friend, Linda, wanted a pic of us. Josh was in the process of spinning me around which is why I look like I'm holding on for dear life to him! It was a day of tremendous fun. We got to see some really great bands including another of our favorites, Highlines. If you look closely, you'll see the guitarist, Derrick in the background! Bash in the Parc was a benefit concert for menengitis. It was such a great benefit and they were able to raise quite a bit of money. They are trying to make this an annual event so I look forward to next year! A whole day of great bands! How awesome!!

I talk often of the wonderful boss I have. This is Brenda and me for manager appreciation day. It was a sports theme event that the consultants put on as a way of saying thank you to our wonderful managers. It was a highlight for me because I got to wear my favorite Brian McCann baseball jersey to work! As you can see we both dressed the part of sports! As part of the party, the managers played games on a Wii. Brenda won first place in the boxing competition against another manager, Toni. We recently were able to watch the video of the hilarious day in a meeting. It was funny to see Brenda in action as she playfully pounded the air while trying to knock her opponent out!

This is another of my favorite pictures of me and Josh. Here we are all dressed up and ready to go eat at Emeril's restuarant. We took a mini vacation a few months ago with some friends. It was so much fun! We went to New Orleans for the weekend. We stayed at a suite in a hotel that could have passed as an apartment! It was huge! We really enjoyed ourselves. We had hurricanes at Pat O'Brien's. Then we went back to the hotel and six people took showers and three girls did hair and make up as we prepared for the nite out. Thankfully, no one blew a fuse! Emeril's was delicious! We had sooo much food! We even ordered dessert! Jennie and I both had the creme brulee and Josh had ice cream in three flavors. Joe went for the banana cake and Nicole and Dale shared this chocolate thing that was so sinful! We all took turns sampling each others desserts! The next day we went to the flea market and ate at Cafe Dumond. Then we made a pit stop in Tanger Outlet in Gonzalez and spent the entire day shopping! It was such a great trip, but Josh and I were both exhausted when we got home!!
